So, i don't know if you were aware, but I did receive a free PSP using a referral system. If you don't know what a referral system is, go here and read The Process. That'll explain how this works.
Anyways, I'm currently in the market for a new Xbox 360 for Steve and I's new apartment. I need 14 referrals, which means I need 14 nice people with a valid check or credit card who want to help me.
Now, hearing that you'll need a credit/check card might scare you, but it's only to prevent the fraud of these services. Also, a lot of the free offers are simply for free trials, which they would then want you to continue with later. Trust me, I've been doing referrals for over a year now, and have yet to have any weird transactions on my card, or anything else malicious.
So, how can you help? Sign up to help by following this link. Then all you need to do is click on the 'offers' tab and complete an offer in there. How, you ask? I'll tell you.
In the offers page, go to the forth page of offers. At the very bottom, there's one for Stamps.com. This offer is completely and utterly free, and gives you an entire month to cancel before you get sucked into it. A lot of the offers give you one to two weeks, but this is a whole 30 days. And yes, I've done this one personally. Here's how.
Click on 'complete offer' on the page there, and it'll bring you to the stamps.com website. You'll have to download the stamps.com software. It's no big deal, you can uninstall it later. You then create your account after you install the software. Then you're done. Make sure you don't buy any postage, and only go with the free trial. That's it.
Once you "go green" in my account, which means your reference was valid and went through, I'll send you an email to the address you signed up on the site with, letting you know that you're good. You can then cancel your account. Back when I did this offer, I actually had to call a 1-800 number, and when the operater asked, i just said "i want to cancel my account", and once i verified the credit card i used when signing up, it was cancelled. Easy as pie.
